After almost two years of effort and determination I am pleased to have reached my goal weight! I have lost a total of 75 lbs and gone down from a tight 42 almost 44 inch pant waist to a 32 currently but can fit a 30. I never thought when I first started that I could do it but I was determined to try. If I can do this anyone can because I have struggled with my weight for years. I have never been a health fanatic or an athletic person, at least not before starting this try but now I am hooked. I simply love my new lifestyle and I highly recommend it to anyone that is starting to notice their fitness and mobility going down as they reach their post-middle age years. Since I have lost the weight and built up my muscle I have noticed many unforeseen and unexpected benefits. My doctor has taken me off my blood pressure medication because I no longer have high blood pressure or hypertension. I have been able to stop using my puffers as my breathing has improved immensely. My Sciatica which bothered me almost steadily and made walking, moving and working extremely difficult has been reduced to only an occasional symptom and my use of pain pills is almost nonexistent. By extension my flexibility and mobility are much better and my stamina and endurance have increased substantially.
I would highly recommend anyone who is getting older and starting to feel the their age that they try to do a version of this to reduce deterioration and muscle loss, gain strength and actually rebuild lost muscle mass. Anyone can do this. I weigh less now than when I got married 33 years ago and am back to my high school weight. The best part is I don’t really feel like I am deriving myself despite the change in my eating habits.
